About Me

Hello!

Hi! I am Dainyl Cua, and I am a software engineer that creates full-stack applications with a purpose. I also dabble in writing technical content aimed at developers in case that's your fancy. My end goal is to get into a position where I can help underrepresented communities get into tech. I hope I can help you learn a thing or two!

College

I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2020 with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering. I worked at an environmental consulting agency for 9 months, lost my job during COVID, and started my journey into tech.

Bootcamp

After learning the fundamentals of web devlopment, I studied Software Engineering at General Assembly's coding bootcamp, then developed a prototype Jamstack EdTech website under my bootcamp instructor, and worked as a Software Engineer for Technical Content at Twilio, the industry leader for cloud communications.

Hobbies

Out of work, you'll find me playing Dungeons & Dragons, gaming, listening to music, cooking, baking, or messing with my pets! That is, if I haven't found something new to try out.

    Software Engineering Intern for Technical Content

    • Developed six applications and articles in a two month period with the purpose of educating developers on how to implement Twilio's products
    • Learned four different APIs and implemented them into fulllstack applications

    • Reviewed other developers' articles and provided feedback in a timely manner
    • Received feedback on technical articles and implemented changes based on comments

    An Educational Tech website I built that iterates upon my instructor's previous iteration. The entire website was rebuilt in a Next.js/Contentful Jamstack entirely from scratch. Many new features such as authentication, a dashboard, and code submission were added.
